I actually recently got permission from the Green Lake city police to enter the cemetery. I plan on going sometime when its not nearly as cold in this cursed Wisconsin. But to continue I drove out there the other day to take a look since I was given permission to visit the site as many times as I want as long as I tell them the date I'm going. I arrived there about 9:00 p.m. and as I walked around there was a slight heaviness in the air as if someone just wanted you to leave because they didn't want to be disturbed. So sometime soon possibly this weekend I'm going to go out with a few of my friend who have gone with me to several other areas that are haunted and we're going to attempt to pick up whatever we can.

In Wales,UK where I live half of the year (I'm in PA the other half practically hehe) It is said that during the twilight hour if you enter a graveyard when you leave a spirit will apparently latch onto you in some way or other and it will follow you wherever you go. Welsh Folk-Lore we have so much of it.
Firstly sitting on a tomb..I do not think that is the most intelligent things to do, Even if it is a cause for alot of curiosity. I mean if I were dead and some little git sat him or herself upon my tomb..I would be miffed. I will haunt you if you sit on my tomb, My family have a tomb..huge ugly looking thing, One of the last remaining on the Isle of Anglesey, It is still used the last body put in 6 years ago.
Another part old OOLD folk-lore in Wales is that if you step upon someone's grave you will have bad luck. So when we visit our loved one's graves you shall see us swaying and keeping from standing directly upon the grave. We look weird doing it but other than the fact you supposedly get back luck..
I would like to visit the graveyard. During the day. I am a coward what can I say..Id rather beleive without having to see anything. But it would be very interesting.

Dracula - i'm from New York. What places in NY are haunted? Next time i'm in NY i could visit some haunted house or something. As for Dartford Cemetery, i'd have to see the spirits myself before i would believe the place is haunted. Alot of people have been there and seen nothing. I don't know what to believe.

shoulaine, try the Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, lived there as a kid and me any my brothers and friends went in there on a dare, the bells tolled at 6pm just about dark. We scaled the fence at one end walked a bit and had the coldest chills and the feeling that we were being followed. Seen what we thought were people, but the gates were closed. Needless to say it got dark fast and we felt that we weren't alone in there. The cemetery is huge.... we came out a long way from where we went in...hence the scary part....we didn't spend much time in there and where we can out was a good mile and half to two from where we entered.......the graves date back to the 1700's

I think that it would be a great place to check out but if you have to go after dark to feel anything or "get pushed off" then i would not do it... you could get into trouble and eventually the cops are going to stop slapping people on the wrist and someone is going to get into deep trouble...breaking and entering is a big charge... so please be careful... also i saw the episode of "A Haunting" on Discovery thought it was great... Chad, you looked very professional... and that is where i found this site... so thank yo ~Rochelle

Terry Fisk, I agree with kimyatwk2, you should contact TAPS, it would be so awesome to see this on TV with them doing investigating.

I have never been to Dartford Cemetery, but would love to. I saw the special about it on "A Haunting", and i am very interested.I love haunted things. I sent some info about this cemetery to TAPS (Ghost Hunters Show). I would love to see what they think about it. Sarah

Thanks, but now it looks like this accursed Wisconsin weather may set back my trip. But thank you, none the less.

I mean if I were dead and some little git sat him or herself upon my tomb..I would be miffed. .... Not to mention it is just plain disrespectful of the deceased. The previous poster asked permission to enter the cemetary which is always the right thing to do. But as amateur investigators, we all need to respect them as Holy places. Just because they are public does not mean we have the right to trample where ever we feel. After all, many people have paid for the right to be there or visit their loved ones. You did not. It is the disreguard of ametuer investigators that cause owners or authorities to close them off to the public. I would also caution those who would enter these Holy places or any other site to recite a protective blessing, as Chad does. If you really believe, then you must also accept the possibility of attachment. Demonology is nothing to mess with and very very real. When dealing with Native American paranormal activity, extra caution should always be taken. Believe it or not you are dealing with some very serious stuff....not a joke.
