We are interested in hearing about firsthand accounts of encounters with the famous spook light in the U.P. of Michigan between Paulding and Watersmeet.

I am going to try and get a video camera sometime and go up there because I used to live in Eppophette MI not to far from Escanaba and I would like to go up to the Paulding place to see if I can see them. I have also had some weird feelings out by my Great Grandma's place where my Great Grandpa died it felt like someone or something was watching me. I have only had that feeling since he died. I was wondering if maybe that is him trying to watch over me and my family??

I've been to the Paulding Light in the U.P. of Michigan 5 times. The light, when it is white, is very bright! I've seen it turn red and I've seen it turn green and then split into two lights then merge back into one. It is amazing!! I truly wish someone could determine what this is. It has been happening for decades and the time of year has no bearing on whether the light will appear...it's there every night!

I once saw the Paulding light... It was a bit creepy, since I was there at one in the morning. Mostly it would go on and off for a few minutes at a time. Often in would go up and down, or side to side, or closer and farther away, and I've only seen it change to a red color. It seemed like there was practically no one in the area, but once we got up to the viewing site there was maybe 25 people there... There was a path you could walk down to get closer to it, but according to the people who came back, you can't see it close up. Don't get fooled by people with flashlights:)

Didn't they prove this to be fake? From what I've seen most people are just seeing the headlights and taillights from cars off of Hwy 45.

It was proven that it was not headlights and taillights
