Steve,
Thanks for your comments. Sue, Nancy, Diane's children and I appreciate it.
Although it has been many years, we will never forget the horror of that day, or of how such mass murders keep happening.
Until the US Congress has the guts to get serious about gun control, this will keep happening. But since the NRA keeps buying elections for its captive legislators by buying their votes from gun enthusiasts, it won't happen.
It is a sad comment on how US citizens "think".
I own guns and don't blame them, I blame the system that lets mentally disturbed people owning them. That could be fixed, if lawmakers had any guts. But they don't, they are victims of NRA blackmail.

The article linked to by wizard55 has the facts correct. There were four people murdered on Nov. 16, 1981, three at the RV dealership office and one outside the house. The killer was a mentally disturbed resident of Willie's Mobile Home Park. He killed himself two days later as the police were about to capture him in a wooded area of a farm outside Bloomer. I know this for certain because it was my parents and brother who were murdered, along with an employee, Loren Stolt. The killer probably was angry because he was going to be evicted for threatening other residents of the park, although we will never know for sure.
