WOW, IDK why I hadn't thought to check out Dubuque! It is just downriver from my hometown Potosi, and close to my current one in Cuba City WI.
www.haunted-places.com/paranorm.htm#IOWA: : IOWA: Dubuque Barn Community Theatre Company. Dubuque’s Grand Opera House was opened in 1890 and became a movie house in 1928. In 1986, the building was renovated and turned into a community theater. About that time, people started hearing weird voices and shuffling footsteps in the deserted building. Employees blamed the unseen spirits for hiding objects, changing lighting, and playing pranks. Then in 1991, apparitions started appearing in the back of the theater. Investigators later discovered that after the opera house became a movie theater, cleaning women called police several times complaining of strange voices in the building at night. (Dubuque is on the Mississippi River at the Iowa-Illinois-Wisconsin border. The old opera house is now the home of the Barn Community Theatre Company, 135 Eighth Street, Dubuque, IA 52001. Phone: 319-588-4356.)

Yeah I agree we need to get this site up and running again. I've only been using this site for little over a year now maybe two and I'm not exactly a ghost hunter either but it's cool to see feedback and info on places that people have visited. I'm from southern WI by the IL and IA border and there are not very many places in that area to check out. So stuff gets old but this website has shown me many places that I would want to visit some day. It's also nice to share a forum with other people that have the same interests as you. I just hope this site gets more activity soon.

I need some hypothetical ideas and advice on how I could find the bray road beast. I want to go on a werewolf hunt with a bunch of my friends and I just need some ideas on what time of year I should go, what I need, and how I should go about searching for it. Any input would help. Thanks

Hi there I heard many years ago that the cemetery on Madeline Island is suppose to be haunted, but then again that is sacred Indian land. Also the shoreline area on that island is rumored to be haunted. Carol Awesome! Do you know any stories and what haunts the shoreline? Thanks

Ridgeway, Dodgeville are two good places, there is a house I believe on main street ,( the main street in Dodgeville is called Iowa,) The house is across from the Congrational church, 2nd from the corner I believe A woman fell down the steps caring a oil lamp, wearing a long dress , she died at the bottom of the steps there is a stain there they can't get rid of, and out by the smelter on the old way to Hollandale is another place. The ridgeway ghost has been seen on the old Military trail between dodgeville and ridgeway , it is a bike trail I believe now. I live in Lodi and I've heard very little around here, but I haven't poked around much. Can you tell me more about the last two places you mentioned. I havent heard of the place on the way to Hollandale but I have heard of the Ridgeway Phantom, but just don't know where exactly it has been seen at. If you can tell me more about them that would be great and any other place you can think of. I really don't care how far they are as long as theyre not like 5-6 hours away. Thanks
