I've been hearing things here and there on the news, it's interesting, and makes on wonder...
This time of the year is very busy, perhaps that is why no one commented on it? For my own self, I might glance at the boards and not be logged in, therefore, cannot comment (and then with the time issue, no time to log in and contemplate what I will leave for a note).
So, Friday's information should be interesting!

My son has a gemstone that was given to him by someone that has noticeable psychic powers... I don't know a lot about stones and meanings, but the lady said it was to protect him.
It's not dumb (as the above person noted), to each his own, but we all believe what we want to believe...

this place is insane!!! its so creepy they have the old metal cots still there. last time i was there they were re-flooring the gym. they bolted shut the main entrance. doing halloween they owner has rent a cops posted through the basement. theres an underground path that leads to the school. its very interesting there. the whole city is DEAD at night. very odd. i recommend checking this out just dont get caught cause the cops are stationed to go by there all the time cause alot of people like destroying stuff there. so park way down the road and use the woods as cover!! just please respect the place. This is so untrue. There is a new owner, the buildings are not open for anyone. It has not been open for Halloween (Haunted House) in years. The whole village (not a city) is not dead. It's a small village, less than 1,000 people live there. This property is on the outskirts of the village, anything after it is rural and not in the village. How do I know this? I grew up very close by and still live not far away. If you are smart and don't wish to end up in trouble, you will NOT park way down the road and use the woods as a cover. There is an entire family staying there, and they will prosecute to the fullest. How do I know that? I met them last week, and no, I was not trespassing. I even talked to them, on this subject (of trespassers and criminal charges).
There are many other threads on this site, on St. Nazianz. But this one is way off... that's for sure...
I just hope that people respect the wishes of the owner. Stay away, the red carpet is not out, welcoming people there. Drive past the highway and look at the magnificent property, but vandalism and trespassing is so wrong...

We'll be going thru that way in a few days... Hoping to stop there, if time permits.

I have sat on the ground a few years ago. Never been inside the building, that's a big "I wish..."
It's those who ride or drive the riding lawn mowers, while being heavily supervised, that give me the creeps more than anything... I was just glad I was in my car with the doors locked, watching the shift change...
For living close to there, I have never heard anything strange, other than happenings with real, live human beings of some type...

I am guessing that unless someone has a religious belief, or some bad experience, would they be afraid to study or follow it?
I have been intruiged by it a life time. Fascinated by it when it was not acceptable to talk about it to almost anyone. When there were no weekly shows on paranormal research (unlike now). And when you were supposed to only go to a cemetery to visit a relative.
I've done it most of my life. Walking, riding a bike, putting way too many miles on a car, and getting lost traveling around the state, looking for a place that I had to see...
BTW -- GhostCuriousity, your title is very hard to read!

Just wondering... what is going on now, two weeks later?
Curious, and hoping you called someone!

HitMan, your pics are stunning... really incredible.
I have yet to be there. Seeing it with summer flowers would have to be the best. Wonderful pics, that's for sure...
Question: Did you see many others there, when you were there? Do cops go thru often and almost interrogate you? Just curious...

I stopped in the ditch at Maribel Caves Hotel one week ago. I am always utterly left in awe of it's beauty.
What I did notice was how wonderful those Indian's Paint Brush and clovers were...
Just grateful to live within a reasonable distance of this place...
Lastly, I met a lurker from this site! We talked about this site and rude people trespassing. If you read this (lady from Brown County) -- private message me. I am wondering how your ditch pictures turned out? Mine -- turned out so incredible! One, I will claim is the best picture I ever took of an abandoned place in my entire life! I will hope you read this, and contact me.
BTW -- sign up as a member, I told you that! It's even more fun than lurking...

Look at the bottom of your Post Message Screen. There is [glow=red,2,300] spell check [/glow]there... perhaps consider using it?

I have had a similar type of thing happen lately... Twice in the past month, a *breaking sound* happening... in the middle of the night. It's been one of those "did I hear a noise like that?" type of feelings... when you lay in bed, woken up a few minutes before it happens, and you hear the noise loud and clear, and everyone else is asleep. I made my rounds thru the house (which is about 2,000 sq. ft and a charmingly 100 years old) and there was no reason why I heard that noise -- and I will insist that the noise was from the same room as what I was in. I pulled the sheets up to my nose and tried to fall back asleep.
Clueless to what it was, and for this being my house (not just an apartment rental), I will continue living here.
One step in reverse, I have had many "Wednesday morning awakenings" in the past 4.75 years... that were silent for most of it. Those -- I credit my deceased Grandma for... right down to the early wake up call I received, right after she died... I was already awake, I knew she died, and sat there, waiting for the call from my dad.
But this crack/breaking sound has me concerned...
Strange noises in the middle of the night, and now I see it's not just in my house! Good luck with yours, demonfreak!

*laughs* Is this supposed to be funny?
I think any of us might have relatives that are ghosts. It's just that we might not realize it.
If I was to die, I would pick and choose who I might want to visit, silently... and no one would ever know... if I played my cards right. Right?

You can actually see the north side of the cemetery as you drive past on Highway 23. But you've gotta take the one side street, then go on North Street, which splits the cemetery. I myself parked in the North side of the cemetery, but the pioneer section (with the mausoleum and chief's grave) are on the South side. Thanks, HitMan98. Much appreciated. In 4 weeks... and counting... *taps fingers*
